My name is Erika. My husband Nate & I are blessed with 4 beautiful children – 3 boys and 1 girl, ages 1-8 years. As a busy, homeschooling mom, life is full of surprises, challenges, and amazing blessings along the way. It’s my goal to always strive to walk closer with Jesus and to raise our children to know and love Him.
I’m blessed to be a homeschooling mom, which I’ve found to be one of the most rewarding and yet challenging experiences of my life.
I was homeschooled myself from grade 2 all the way up through my highschool graduation (with a diploma through Christian Liberty Academy‘s accredited correspondence school) by my diligent mom. She is my inspiration as I teach my children each day and I have called upon her wisdom and experience (almost 20 years of teaching between myself and my 3 siblings!) many times. Thank you, Mom!
In addition to homeschooling, I love animals, writing, cooking, baking, and couponing. I’ve been couponing for many years now and while I used to be considered an “extreme couponer,” after the craziness of the TLC show, I’d prefer to call it “super couponing” now!

Our oldest, Nathan, arrived in March, 2003. He’s our resident scientist – he always has his nose in science books (earth science – volcanoes, tornadoes, earthquakes, weather, etc. – are his current top interests) and is constantly coming up with new “experiments” he wants to do. (That’s not saying he always gets to do them!)
Our one and only little girl, Emily, is 5 years old and joined our family in November, 2006. With everything from the huge mound of stuffed animals to her collections of Squinkies and Hello Kitties, she is quite the little princess & loves all things pink & girly. She is my good little helper and Daddy’s little girl!
Joshua is our 2nd boy and, after a rough first year (hernia surgery, severe reflux and food intolerances), he is now a happy busy little toddler who is always making us laugh. He was born in June, 2009 and was my biggest baby, weighing 10 lb 7.5 oz!
And last, but definitely not least, is our newest little addition, Luke, who arrived January 9, 2011. He is a sweet happy baby (something I am very relieved about after the rough time we had with poor Joshua!) and he completes our family. He is our smallest baby, weighing 7 lb 13 oz when he was born at 37 weeks.

Abby is our Pug dog – she is 4 years old and the best dog ever!
Shadow is our new kitten – he’s the same age as Luke!
We also have a parakeet named Sky and an aquarium.
