Meet Piper and Peter

These are the newest members of our family – two adorable cockatiel babies.

Piper and Peter are a brother-sister pair and they are so sweet! They are Lutino Cockatiels (that’s their colors.) We’ve had them for about 2 weeks now and they are quite friendly already.

EBragdon_20121217_00028You could say they were mine and Nate’s Christmas gifts to each other. It wasn’t planned like that, but the timing worked. I don’t think Nate would readily admit it, but he’s pretty fond of these new feathery friends too. He often walks around with Peter on his shoulder.

Piper is so friendly, Lukey can even hold her! He LOVES her.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE them. I use to have a cockatiel, and that bird danced, talked, made noises whenever it heard music like it was clicking it’s fingers. It was the coolest bird ever! It even whistled at you when you walked past it. Good for the self esteem…lol. You’ll have so much fun with these birds. I miss mine so bad.

  3. Great photos! Good luck with them…they look like very friendly birds.

They’re so cute! I used to have a grey one. My daughter got him as a b-day present but she wasn’t home much so he got attached to me. He was so funny! He’d dance when music was on. He loved giving kisses. I had to put a towel on my shoulders because he pooped a lot. As he got older he got louder. Since I live in an apt I had to give him away. I gave him to my sister so her bird would have a friend. They both got out of their cage and flew away. I was so sad.
You’ll love these birds and they’re so fun for kids.
