It was just the six of us at home this year and we had a wonderful Christmas.
We bake lots of cookies every year. One of our new traditions is to bring plates of cookies to friends and neighbors – we all enjoy it so much!

Our Elf-on-the-Shelf, Ruby, kept watch over the cookies to see if any naughty children might try to snatch one…
(Psst…it worked!)
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow… I always love to have a white Christmas and this year, my wish was granted. On Christmas morning, we woke up to this:
The kids start by opening their stockings. Luke probably would have been perfectly content with just an apple and two cars for the entire day…
My sweet Joshua, after breakfast – sticky face and all…
Emily with her “baby girl” Josie…
I have one rule on Christmas morning – the kids must smile nicely for one photo when we start opening presents. Then I stop bugging them to smile. I used to try to get nice smiles for out-of-town relatives but it never worked because there was just too busy. And me? Mom / photographer? Well I want to enjoy Christmas morning too, without forcing pictures. I love this new “tradition” and it works SO well..of course the little boys are somewhat exempt…
Luke loves dancing best of all..
The excitement on Luke’s face is just about the definition of Christmas for kids
Josie, the cat, has adopted the tree as her own (that’s another post right there) but finally decided to just roll with the intrusive presents and chill…
Nathan with his gift from Santa:
Luke loves to give Abby hugs…even on her new doggy bed

And there was Luke who loved rolling his new Sesame Street school bus around…packed with more cars…
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, my friends!

Look at all those smiling faces.. glad your wish for snow came t through, might want to keep an eye out on Rudy so he doesn’t sneak a cookie. Have a Very Happy Holiday!

Thank you for sharing your awesome family Christmas pictures! The kids look like they had lots of fun. I ahd a wonderful Christmas with my family. You’re so lucky you had a white Christmas! I live in Martinez,Ca. and it doesn’t snow. It has snowed about 10 times here that I can remember. I’ve been praying for snow forever. LOL!! It gets so cold so I’m hoping one of these days I’m going to watch that cold rain turn to snow flurries, I can dream.

Lol, yes I can imagine it would be rare to get snow there. Well see, maybe you can plan a family Christmas getaway and go someplace cold where there would be snow!

Happy Holidays, Sue! Thanks for being so sweet as always!
