Between the recent heatwave here on the East Coast, the endless high humidity and chasing after my two girls, I decided that my long hair had to go. I wanted a short, easy to care for cut that wouldn’t take a lot of time or effort.

So, I chopped my pretty hair. Sigh.

I still wanted to dress it up on occasion, but aside from buying a few headbands {my hair is way too think for short clips!} I wasn’t sure what to get. After a few hours, the headbands would be pressing into the side of my head and I’d take them off in frustration. I was looking for something that was grownup, easy to wear and comfortable. Enter Stylish Mode!

Their website is filled with fabric headbands that are stylish and comfortable – two words I wasn’t sure can ever go together! They have a full selection of headbands, headscarves, and head wraps in solids and prints. They start with skinny headbands and work up to full size bandana wraps. And the colors – oh my goodness! So pretty – I had SUCH a hard time deciding.

I finally landed on this brown and teal retro floral print headband. It’s 2 inches wide, with an elastic casing. It is easy to wear, stays in place and some days I actually forget that I have it on. Seriously.

My second choice was a headscarf. I wasn’t quite sure I could pull it off, especially with short hair but I wanted something fresh and new and different. I chose this blue/black headscarf with an asian print. The scarf is so soft – the fabric is perfect for wearing in your hair! It’s 3.3 inches wide and about 55 inches long – there are so many different ways you can wear this scarf! I love this scarf – I wear it at least 3 days a week, even when we’re just staying in!I am super pleased with both of my choices. The fabrics are fresh, soft and comfortable. They stay in place all day without me constantly checking and tightening them, which, after a day spent biking with my dog and running with my girls is awesome. I have a few more on my wish list after having such a positive experience!
