I am a huge dog lover – and enjoy every crazy moment with our two dogs. They give us endless sloppy kisses and lots of love. Our dogs were rescued from the Mississippi/New Orleans area following Hurricane Katrina.
This is my Katie. She is a lab/chow mix who enjoys greeting all who come near our yard with lots of barks and tail wags. She is 7 years old and hails from New Orleans. She was brought up on a rescue train following the hurricane to NJ, which is how we were matched with her. She loves chewing on her bones, bossing our cat around and barking. She also thinks she is a lap dog. {hah}
This is Francie. She is a Rhodesian Ridge-Back who has more energy than we know what to do with! She is 5 years old and is from Waverly, Mississippi. We went to Mississippi for a mission trip following the hurricane, and one of the places we volunteered was a shelter. As soon as we saw her in the litter we knew she was coming home with us! She loves to run and run and run all over….and was the perfect dog to review the Toys R Us new line of pet toys exclusively at Pet Smart!
We received four toys to review:
Hands down Francie’s favorite toy is the bottle cruncher. It’s an awesome idea – you can replace the plastic bottles over and over as they get chewed and played with. We are on the fifth replacement plastic bottle…and the fabric is still going strong! No rips, no tears, nothing! I am totally impressed with the quality – and let me tell you, Francie gives this toy a workout!
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure that the fluff would stay in any of the toys, but it did! After 2 weeks of playing tug of war and chewing and being buried the toys are all still in great condition! Francie and Katie both love to chew on pretty much anything {especially if it squeaks} and none of the toys have fallen apart or had anything broken off!
We had given up buying toys for the dogs, since nothing ever held up to their excitement and it seemed that every toy lasted less than a day before it was destroyed. I am so impressed with the quality of these dog toys! We will definitely be buying more of these in the future!

I don’t have a dog but my daughter has 3 of them. There’s Lily who’s Chocolate lab/Bull dog mix, then there’s Jax he’s Chiahuahua/Corgi mix and then there’s Rico he’s Chiahuahua/Terrier mix. We have two dogs – Jersey and Nevada. Jersey came with her name when we adopted her. Nevada was named after the street nearby where we found her as a very skinny stray. She is no longer skinny and is the most loving dog ever!

We have one small dog about 10 pounds that gives us more fun than any game system. Which is saying a lot when my 15 year old thinks his dsi is attached to his hands!
Our dog loves his toys and we spend countless hours tossing, fetching, hiding, and twisting with Gizmo and his toys. Gizmo is a black and white shih tzu. These toys look awesome. Does the bottle cruncher come in smaller sizes? I think he would like something like that but afraid it would be to big for him.
