If there’s any doubt as to whether I’m a fan of Huggies, you should read my previous Huggies diapers posts, including how I put the new Huggies wipes to the test. I love Huggies, but what about my husband? Dads count in this too; after all, they change diapers. (At least they should be!) Nate is a great dad and he’s quick to help me with the kids. That’s not to say we don’t occasionally both try to ignore a stinky diaper in hopes that the other will take care of it, but we do make a great team. With Father’s Day just a couple days away, what better time to get a dad’s opinion on the new and improved Huggies?
Nate says Huggies are his favorite diapers because they’re so easy to put on. The tabs and stopping guards around the legs are simple to open up. Other brands can be harder where if you miss opening up a “leg guard,” you’re stuck dealing with leaks. In fact, in Nate’s own words “It was easier to put on the Huggies diaper than it is to put these pants on Luke!” (who was trying to run away.)
We’re both happy with the improvements to Huggies Snug & Dry diapers. From the SnugFit waistband to the Long-Lasting core that locks in wetness while keeping baby dry, these diapers really work. We had one “leak” in the past two or three months of using Huggies Snug & Dry. That was earlier this week one morning when Luke let out a massive poop on top of his already very wet night diaper. (I know – a little TMI – but this is about diapers!)When I realized what had happened, I was expecting a massive blow-out. But even with all that, it only leaked a little from the top.
The new wipes, including Huggies Natural Care Wipes, Simply Clean Wipes, and One & Done wipes are also improved. I use the wipes for all sorts of things – from wiping faces to cleaning walls to scrubbing up spots on the carpet. And of course the diaper changes they’re intended for. But my favorite part of the new wipes is that we use less than before. I’ve noticed that even Nate uses fewer wipes, which is saying a lot. It’s always seemed, that for every wipe I use, he uses 3 or 4. I’ve often wanted to say “Stop wasting the wipes!” but believe me, I have no desire to give him an excuse to stop changing diapers.
I’m thankful my children have such a great dad and that he is willing to help out.
I’m also glad that we have great diapers and wipes that make life easier, thanks to Huggies.
