Wordless Wednesday Linky – Flowers in the Spring

I’ve been taking a lot of photos lately (gotta learn how to use my new camera!) I love taking pictures of flowers – for one thing – they don’t move so I can play with the settings all I want without worrying about my subject running away. And the other? They’re beautiful!

You can click on the photos to see them blown up.

These lilacs were in Ohio a month ago – our lilac bush is just barely beginning to bloom & it’s been raining so I haven’t been able to take any pictures of it yet.

My Bleeding Heart bush started blooming last week – I adore these beautiful, perfectly shaped blooms!

As beautiful as those flowers are, I think this photo is my favorite –
A handful of violets from Nathan – he knows I love them & he always brings them to me every spring…

So what do you have for Wordless Wednesday this week? I’d love if you would leave me a comment and link up!

  11. I love your Macro shots, especially the one with the tulip against the brick wall.

I’ve been working with my new camera, too, but my son has me stuck on “sports mode”. He loves to flip through the photos quickly, so they almost look like a video.

    • Thanks Naomi!
I took those with Aperature mode. I love learning how it works and it’s fun to try the different settings and see what happens. That’s funny about your son – I can see why he would enjoy that.

  12. Absolutely love these pics!!

  16. What camera did you get? It looks like you’re using a 50mm lens. I still need to learn how to use my new Canon Rebel T3. I always have it in auto mode.

  21. Wow, what beautiful shots. Can see why the last is your favorite though. I have already started getting lots of dandelions

    • Lol, yes I get my share of dandelions too. Handfuls upon handfuls. I had to put my foot down and say none of the white seed ones though – they started blowing all over my house! lol
