Writer’s Block

I can’t seem to get anything done this week, blogging-wise. I have tons of ideas, topics I want to write about, and I just can’t seem to get it out. I have some great recipes, a series about review/giveaway blogging, homeschooling, frugal living, and a couple personal family posts.

But none of it’s been happening this week.

So I’m going to stop making myself crazy and give it a break for today. My house is badly in need of some cleaning and organizing, so I’m going to put blogging aside and focus on my family. Hopefully if I stop trying, it will come back tomorrow.

What do you do when you have writer’s block?

  3. I like that manifesto! Very cute. I wish I had time to blog about me and my family. I’m currently swamped. I can barely keep my head above water.

  6. I was there a couple weeks ago. And now I do things WAY different. I didn’t like that I was spending so much time on my blog and neglecting my home/family/hobbies and so I give myself NOW just 15 minutes at a time of computer time and 15 minutes at a time for other offline activities. It has really put focus and balance in my life. My home is clean, Im making great food for my family and something else happened INSPIRATION! By living my “regular” life I’ve been getting great posts and even more creativity! I actually set a timer during the day and dont get on the computer. I feel better too, even my kids know to listen for the timer when mommy finishes computer work. Everyone is happier, mostly ME! Good luck, you’re doing the right thing! and..my time is up! ;) Hugs!

  8. That’s exactly how I’ve felt all week! I have the obligatory things I need to post about but haven’t because I can’t give them my full effort. Today (as in right now) I decided to take the lap top outside and write away. A change of scenery has definitely motivated me! Now I need to move from my backyard to the beach~

  11. I make myself take a break and go and play with my son. I used to use a Timer so I would not forget to get off but I stopped. Now I have a different problem as I want to be outside with my son and I hate to come in. So I need to limit my outside time so I can get my work done.

  13. I get writer’s block when I’ve had a busy week at work as a RN, and when my fibromyalgia ‘n’ back pain bother me. I want to write but can’t during those times, so I’ll get on Twitter or Pinterest!
