Baby Dipper Bowl Review & Giveaway

If you have little ones, you know how messy mealtime can be. From spilled drinks to food all over the highchair to the messy face and sometimes even hair. And sometimes, we can even end up messy. I’m pretty used to this by now, but if there is a product that can help reduce mess and make my life a little easier, I’m all for it.

The Baby Dipper Bowl was designed by a mom for moms (and dads too!) to make feeding time simpler and less messy. The creator, Barbara Schantz, is the mom of 4 (two sets of twins.) After unsuccessfully searching for a bowl that allowed for one-handed feeding, she designed one herself.
The Baby Dipper Bowl has the following features:

  • contoured interior guides food to spoon
  • spoon fits in lower corner of bowl
  • non-slip base helps prevent sliding
  • transparent sides allow easy viewing of food
  • BPA, phthalate, and lead free
My Luke just turned 8  months old so it was perfect timing for me to review. The Baby Dipper bowl comes with a bowl, spoon, and fork (it’s great for toddlers learning to self-feed too!) I usually find myself multi-tasking while I’m feeding Luke. One of the other kids needs a drink or Joshua needs his food cut up, etc. So having a one-handed feeding bowl makes life much easier for me. I really liked the design of this unique bowl.
It stays firmly on the table and doesn’t slide around. I love the spoon too – the deep contour makes feeding much neater and I don’t spill nearly as much food! Combine this with the shape of the bowl and it’s a lot easier to get all the food out of the bowl too.
The Baby Dipper Bowl is also great for toddler feeding. I’ve let Joshua, who is 26 months,  use the Baby Dipper bowl while he feeds himself. He’s been using a spoon and fork for a few months now and is gradually getting better at it, but as you can imagine, there are still quite a few spills. This new bowl makes it a lot easier and less messy for him to feed himself. I love it and so does he!
We use the Baby Dipper Bowl so much now that I don’t even bother to put it in the dishwasher (although it is top-rack dishwasher safe!) – I just wash it by hand because I know we will need it soon!
The Baby Dipper Bowl makes feeding time much neater, more efficient, and overall easier for mom. I highly recommend this bowl and will be putting this on my gift list for friends and family with babies and small children. It also makes a perfect baby shower gift!
Baby Dipper has recently introduced a pink set into their line of products – isn’t it cute?

I am very interested in trying these bowl being a caregiver to my husbund who has had 2 major strokes this year. His left side is unable to be used. I think these bowls would work good for him. I also suggest you market these to nursing homes. He was in a nursing home for a few months and feeding time would be made easier using these bowls. I see I am too late for contest but would love to win or recieve these bowls to try for my husbund. I also have a grandbaby due in march 2012.

  66. Danielle Davis/Grady says:

Great review! I really wanna try this out! Thanks!
