Boiron Arnicare Gel Review & Giveaway

Congratulations to Jayne T, with comment #676

I really like natural remedies. They work great and are safer and easier to use than conventional medications. I definitely think there’s a time and a place for regular meds (I do have aspirin and acetaminophen products in my medicine cabinet, among other things!), but my first preference is homeopathic, more natural remedies for my family.

I am a big fan of Boiron products. I have many of their remedies, from their Calendula healing ointment to the Boiron Mag Phos I give to Emily instead of acetaminophen when she has growing pains.

I was excited to try out Boiron’s Arnicare Gel. Arnicare Gel, which is an unscented, paraben-free gel, with an active ingredient of Arnica montana, will temporarily relieve muscle pain and stiffness due to minor injuries, overexertion and falls. It’s also great for reducing pain, swelling, and discoloration from bruises.

Hmm… think I have any of those “ailments” in my household with 4 active children?

It’s summer – the kids are out playing all day long and with that comes falls, bumps, bruises, and ouchies. This means a lot more “boo-boo’s” for mom to kiss and patch up. Joshua, in particular, is going through a growth spurt and has become really clumsy lately. He tripped over the door frame of our sliding glass door and landed pretty squarely on the hard metal frame. By the next day, I realized he had bruised his shins pretty badly. Boiron Arnicare Gel miraculously arrived on my doorstep that afternoon so I put it on Joshua immediately. The gel is very gentle and Joshua was quite pleased with the attention and that this special “medicine” was helping his boo-boo’s. I applied it a couple times that first day and by the next day, I noticed his bruises were much better. I continued using it for the next two days and I’m convinced the bruising healed much faster than normal.

Boiron Arnicare Gel is also recommend for injuries and muscle pain and stiffness. About a week ago, I woke up with a really stiff neck and shoulders. I’m not sure if I had been carrying Luke (who is now almost 20 pounds) around a lot more or if I just slept on it funny, but regardless it really hurt. It was also the weekend so I couldn’t just go to the chiropractor. I remembered Boiron Arnicare Gel and knew it was the perfect time to try it out for something other than a bruise. The non-sticky, non-greasy, cooling gel felt really good to my sore shoulder and absorbed quickly. Within a few minutes I had completely forgotten about my shoulder. At some point later, it began aching again and I applied more Arnicare and once again felt relief. It’s important to remember that Boiron Arnicare is not a miracle cure and it’s designed to help with minor issues, but for these things, it does work really well in my opinion.

This gel is recommended by doctors & plastic surgeons to relieve post-procedure bruising, swelling, and pain in patients and it’s also used by professional athletes.

Now it’s also recommended by me, a mother of 4 children. I have used Boiron Arnicare Gel many times since we received it and I will definitely be buying this again. This is now my go-to remedy for bruises and sore muscles. Whether you have a household full of children or whether it’s just you, this gel will come in handy and I highly recommend it.

You can find it at Walgreens, local health food stores, and online.
